„Transilvania Fest” Association, Blaj City Hall and Alba County Council have launched a competition of manifest ideas „The correct rehabilitation of the Cultural Palace in Blaj” on June 18th, 2011. The Palace’s building was inaugurated in 1936 as a host to cultural, educational and artistic projects, but has not been functional since the 90s, when a fire burnt 40% of it.
Honorarable Mention: „The project was noted for the originality that achieved the continuity of public space within the building. The Jury did not appreciate the alteration of the original proportions of the hall, these being a necessity of the city”.
