We are honored that our study “Flood Resilience Strategy for Tulcea” received the award in the Business Environment category at the Cities of Tomorrow Conference, organized by the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry / AHK Rumänien.
The study proposes a potential strategy for increasing the flood resilience of the city of Tulcea through the integration of an extensive network of nature-based solutions designed to slow down stormwater runoff in higher-elevation areas and thereby reduce the water accumulation that frequently affects the city center.
We believe that this prevention-oriented approach, grounded in adaptation to the natural topography, can help redefine the way Romanian cities respond to the challenges posed by climate change.
The study is part of our proposal for the international “Tulcea Central Area Design Competition,” organized by the Order of Architects of Romania in 2025.
